A delicious, traditional, British dish with a twist (try saying that as fast as you can five times). This meal will replenish energy levels and fatigued muscles following intense exercise.
- Healthy living cumberland pork sausages – 3
- Sweet potato – 200g
- Peas – 75g
- Semi skimmed milk (lactofree) – 50ml
- Garlic puree in sunflower oil – 15g
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Mixed herbs to taste
Peel potatoes and cut them in half. Place into a large pot and cover them with cold, salted water and bring to the boil. Reduce heat and cook until tender, then drain.
Return the potatoes to the pot, add garlic puree, milk, salt, pepper and mixed herbs. Mash until smooth.
Meanwhile, oven cook your sausages for approximately 20 minutes, boil your peas and serve.

- For even fewer calories you can swap the healthy living pork sausages for leaner ones, such as turkey or chicken. However, on this occasion I wanted to use pork (reduced fat) for a more traditional British dish.
